Policy and Strategy Executive

Xjenza Malta is looking for a dynamic executive to join its policy and strategy team in shaping R&I policy at national and European level. As our new Policy and Strategy Executive, you will be following fast-paced developments at national and international level in R&I as well as Space, you will be advising Government on these issues, and you will support strategy development and implementation. In this role you will:

 
  • Support the formulation of national position papers focused on research and innovation (R&I) and Space, working with other Government actors to ensure appropriate coordination and oversight.
  • Keep abreast, monitor and assess EU level policies and developments which overlap with and impact the national R&I landscape.
  • Understand statistical trends in R&I, their interpretation and context, and use this knowledge in your work.
  • Participate in EU fora discussing R&I matters, advocating for the country's interests.
  • Engage with stakeholders from a broad array of sectors – public, private academic and others, both locally and internationally.
  • Participate in the development, monitoring and implementation of national R&I related strategies.
